Children Courses
Some tips from our Ski Instructors
We recommend:
- To dress children according to the day, hot, cold, sun, snow, wind etc. , so it’s fine the onion clothing (with several layers), in case of cold put the tights under the ski pants, if you do not have the tights are also fine a pair of trousers from the suit or pajamas.
- Avoid the low sock (from sea), if you do not have the technical socks up to the knee, a terry sock up to the calf is also fine.
- Avoid gloves with fingers, we strongly recommend the moffole (glove without fingers), especially in younger children, they are warmer and easier to wear.
- Always pick up long hair with a low tail or braid. No to high tail or pigtails, because they hurt under the helmet.
- REMEMBER THAT THE HELMET IS MANDATORY.
- The right equipment, the boot must be tailor-made and not larger and skis, especially if the children are small and at the first experience, should not exceed the shoulder. If the equipment is right your child will make less effort and learn earlier.
- Always warn the teachers, in case of allergies or intolerances, for the cookie break or for lunch of the whole day.
- Our mission is to offer your children a unique and unforgettable experience.
In teaching technique we use play, to create a learning environment that motivates and engages children, so if you see any teacher doing funny, unusual or extravagant exercises, we assure you that it is part of our method, based on specific objectives to be achieved.
You will find this teaching methodology in our SKI ALBUM OF LAURI that is given at the time of registration to the collective courses of Scoiattoli, Marmotte and Orsetti. Your children will receive from their teacher stickers to be attached, day after day, according to the exercises performed.

Squirrels
2 hours a day (10.00 - 11.50) from Monday to Friday. High- and low season: € 220.00
Squirrels are offered the opportunity to carry out a test-day at the price of € 70.00. If you than decide to attend the whole course, the test-day amount will be deducted from the total cost of the course. The squirrels course is held by our female ski-instructors, who are specially trained to work with children this young and do collaborate with childcare staff. The ski lesson also includes amusing game breaks within the Ski School’s private baby park, equipped with travelator and snow-playground. The meeting point is always by the Kinderpark. On Friday afternoon, at the end of the course, our little skiers will be dedicated a prize giving ceremony in Vigo’s main square.

Marmots

Bear Cubs
3 hours (10.00 - 12.45) for 5 consecutive days from Monday to Friday + full day always in the Ciampedie area. The cost is € 295.00 ( including lunch during the day/ski tour).
The Orsetti course is aimed at children aged 5 and over who, at the age of 4, have already had their first experiences in the snow (the Orsetti course is the next step to tackle, before moving on to the Aquilotti).
For bears who have not ever put on skis, the first days of lessons will be held on the school pitch and subsequently on the blue slopes, while for children who have already taken a course at the age of 4 or some individual age the first step will be done at the ski field and immediately afterwards on the slopes.
The last day of the course will be the final race on the "Campo Scuola", reachable by chairlift from Ciampedie, for those who do not ski. The award ceremony of the end of the course will take place at 17.00 in Piazza J.B.Massar, next to the office of the Ski School.

Bear Cubs Intensive
6 DAYS INSTEAD OF 5!
3 hours (10.00 - 12.45) for 6 consecutive days from Sunday to Friday + full day always in the Ciampedie area. The cost is € 320.00 ( including full day lunch/ski tour).
The Orsetti course is aimed at children aged 5 and over who, at the age of 4, have already had their first experiences in the snow (the Orsetti course is the next step to tackle, before moving on to the Aquilotti).

On Thursday there is a full-day ski tour with lunch in one of the shelters, in another ski area. To participate in the course children must be equipped with a weekly ski pass Val di Fassa. The last day of the course is scheduled for the final race on the track "Cigolade" and in the afternoon the award ceremony of the race at the end of the course in the square J.B.Massar, next to the office of the Ski School.

Our weekly-offers are listed below and are available year-round (except for the Christmas holiday season) These offers include: the age-appropriate ski course for your children, lunch at the Kinderpark and subsequent baby-sitting inside of the park until 4 P.M., where they will be taken care of by our qualified staff.

Useful Information
- Children under 7 years of age are entitled to travel for free only on Vigo-Ciampedie cable car. They must be equipped with skipass (half day, day or multi-day ticket) in order to take the chairlifts.
- Children under 8 years of age are entitled to a free-skipass having the same period of validity of the skipass purchased by the parent.
- During private ski lessons children over 3 years can be entrust to the child-care girls in the play-ground.
- The price of the course includes a specific insurance, covering medical assistance and the ski-course’s refund. Such insurance does not cover illness.
- The collective ski-course or individual lessons, will not be refunded in case of participant’s sickness.
- The collective courses are composed of 5 up to 12 participants of the same level. The collective course having less than 5 participants will last 2 instead of 3 hours.
- Turning a collective course into private lessons is not possible. What’s more, individual lessons must be cancelled at least within the day before.
- Ski learners get automatically ensured as the lesson is booked, see the refund-table exposed in the offices.
- Catinaccio Ski-Area is linked to the neighboring Buffaure Ski-area by a small train taking skiers from Pera to the departure of Buffaure lifts. In order to come back, you can take the skibus from Pozza to Vigo di Fassa and then the cable car up to Ciampedie. You can also use again the chairlifts from Pera to Ciampedie (quite slow solution).
- Free entry to Kinderpark and free child-care service reserved to Vigo Ski School’s partners hotels.
- Children can be entrusted to the Kinderpark assistants for the whole day, with an extra price of € 15,00 for the lunch.
- You can leave your skis in the ski-depot near the cable car exit At Ciampedie.
- Lessons’ reservations can be accomplished by phone, after checking timetables and instructors’ availability. Ski-lessons must be prepaid within 5:00 pm of the day before, otherwise the reservation will be automatically cancelled.
